Small Business Bookkeeping Team Leader



At BudgetEase we make our clients profitable.  Our team of 12 consultants are Better Together - we haven’t been stumped on a bookkeeping question yet.  If you are not a QuickBooks certified advisor you will be in the first week on the job. Our two-week onboarding program allows you to hit the ground running and the learning never ends at BudgetEase. You will be assigned a mentor and to a team that specializes in grant or service businesses. 


BudgetEase’s team has a reputation for being QuickBooks experts.  Our services are in such demand that we grew by 65% in 2016 and are on track to grow by 30% in 2017. With over 100 clients every day is a new adventure.  Clients vary from providers of wind energy to airplane leasing for rock stars.

We are hiring for full-time position (during normal business hours).



Coach/Mentor Team Members

  • Currently 2-4 members on a team
  • Teams organized by Specialty – Grants or Services
  • Provide backup

Assure Quality Delivery to Clients

  • Monitor delivery of service by the team
  • Assist your team in meeting client delivery standards
  • Provide training specialized by team member

Product Expert

  • Develop and maintain expert status
  • Learn best practices
  • Develop knowledge and skills on specialized apps and solutions

Deliver Service to Clients

  • Provide client service, focusing on consulting, QuickBooks set up, problem solving, report review and client training

Train Continuously

  • Communicate educational/ training needs & interests to your Team Leader
  • Research solutions/applications to address client needs/questions
  • Acquire one new skill a month

Meetings- all usually help on Wednesday afternoons at 3PM

  • Meet with fellow team leaders and President bi-weekly to strategize best practices and plan implementation
  • 121 with President bi-weekly
  • Participate in mandatory daily huddle and Bi-weekly Team Meetings


  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders
  • Keep President informed when you have time in your schedule for more work
  • Meet commitments on a timely basis or ask for help from President or team via e-mail
  • Work independently on a flexible schedule between 6AM and 6PM, Monday-Friday
  • Respond to e-mail requests & texts within 24 hours
  • Enter time in Ebillity in accordance with the Time Reporting Procedure
  • Keep Outlook calendar current with obligations
  • Present QuickBooks or bookkeeping training programs
  • Be punctual

Work Space

  • The Dealership – an Incubator in Shaker Heights for small businesses has a nontraditional office vibe
  • We work around a big table or stand up desk where you plug your laptop in to multiple screens to work efficiently, first come first serve for your seat
  • You pick your computer - either a solid-state Dell larger screen or a Microsoft Surface
  • Your company provided backpack or briefcase are your office
  • Walking distance to Heinen’s, but we mostly eat lunch at our desks



  • QuickBooks expert, Experience in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new software quickly and have a love for numbers
  • Computer savvy and familiar with Mac and Windows
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, a plus
  • Strong time management, communication and administrative skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Enjoy working with people and a team
  • Ability to work at a fast-pace
  • Lifelong learner
  • Must be able to pass a background check (including credit check)
  • Smoke-free workplace
  • Willingness to drive to assigned clients and corporate office located in Northeast Ohio
